EXTRA HELP FOR TODAY’S TRAINING
CHROME AND SYNERGYSE
1. Make sure Chrome is installed
2. Go to Synergyse.com and click Install Synergyse
3. Click Add
4. Go back to your Gmail, Drive, or Calendar and you will see the “Training” button at the top, next to the search box. This is interactive training, built into the application itself.
MIMIO SCREEN RECORDING
1. Open Notebook software
2. To record whatever you are doing on screen, click the “Applications” button (paint brush and pencil icon), and choose recorder.
3. When you are done recording the information you want to share, click on the recorder icon at the bottom (or open applications again). This will pause the recording.
4. Save the screen recording
>File
>Save
>Name your screen recording
>Choose where to save (This is now saved as an AVI file. You need to convert it to WMV format.)
CONVERTFILES.COM
>Browse
>Choose the file you saved
>Open
>Choose ouput format WMV
>Convert
2. Once the upload is complete,
>right click on the long link
>Save link as
>You can keep the same name because it will be in a different format.
3. Now your screen recording is saved so that you can upload it to YouTube and then embed it into your blog.
YOUTUBE
1. While logged into Gmail,
>Click More
>Youtube
>Sign-in (this will open up to your Youtube page because you are already signed into Google).
2. To upload videos of screen recordings
>Click the Upload button (top of page)
>Select files to upload
>Choose the CONVERTED file that you made
>Name the video if you want
>You can copy the link once it has uploaded and email it to parents
>OR you can open Blogger and embed it there. Parents can access your recordings from your blog too.
BLOGGER
1. While still logged into Gmail,
>More
>Blogger
2. Go through steps to create your blog.
Notes- Check your settings. Do you want people to be able to comment or no?
You can view your blog to see what your post looks like before you publish.
You can only edit your blog when you are signed in.
3. This is where you can store screen recordings or ANYTHING you want to share with parents, staff or students.
4. To choose videos that you have created and embed in your blog
>Click New Post
>Name the post (maybe choose a standard, concept or lesson name)
>Click in the body of the post
>Click the film icon
>My Youtube Videos
>Highlight then click select. It will embed it right into your Blog. You can then give students and parents your blog address and they can see the lessons you have created with the Mimio Teach
5. You can post anything here; messages, images, notes from class, anything. You can also upload original documents here to. You do have to upload those to a place like Scribd to convert then upload.
