Mimio Site for training videos
Mimio Connect for 1,000’s of lessons, forums, and “Ask a Master”
TO ACCESS TRAINING ON MIMIO PRODUCTS AND SOFTWARE
Option 1
>Go to Mimio.com
>Hover over “Training”
>Click “Mimio Quick Learn”
>Click on any of the “Sign-up now” links
>Choose the session(s) you would like to view
>Days and times will appear on the calendar
>Choose the session you would like from the calendar
>Fill out information (Mimio utilizes Blackboard Collaborate. You will have to download that software. Just follow the directions on the screen.)
>An email confirmation will be sent to you
>You can add it to your Google Calendar from the email
Option 2
>Go to Mimio.com
>Hover over “Training”
>Hover “On Demand Training”
>Click “Quick Learn Recordings”
>Choose the recording you want to watch (Mimio utilizes Blackboard Collaborate. You will have to download that software. Just follow the directions on the screen.)
Option 3
>Go to Mimio.com
>Hover over “Training”
>Hover over “On Demand Training”
>Click on “Video Tutorials”
>Choose the topic you want to learn
>Choose either WMV for Windows or MOV for a Mac for the subtopic you want to learn
>Your tutorial will play
Option 4
>Go to Mimio.com
>Hover over “Training”
>Hover over “On Demand Training”
>Click “Guides”
>Choose the topic and the type of literature (Reference cards, User guide, etc..)you want
>Choose Windows or Mac
>Your literature will open. You can now save it to your computer or print it.
ACCESS TO MIMIO CONNECT
>Go to Mimio Connect
>Click “Login/Register”
>Create account by adding a username and password
>Search for 1000’s of lessons by grade or subject
> When you find a lesson you want to view, click on it. You will see a page that gives you a description of the lesson.
>Click the “Download” button
>After the file downloads, click to open it. If you like it, you can now save it to a specified location on your computer. You can also edit and modify it to suit your class.
>You can also click ”Ask a Master” and ask any Mimio question you have. A Mimio Master will answer you via email within 24 hrs.
>You can click on “Forums” to see topic conversation or start your own.
- Mimio Connect is a very valuable resource!
- You can download the Notebook software to you home computer.
- Search for lesson on Mimio Connect
- Download them on your computer
- Modify and adapt to suit your classroom needs
- Upload the lesson to Google Drive
- Have access to them when you get to school
MIMIO PAGE SET UP
You may want to place the Tool Bar to the bottom so that students can reach it easily.

You may want to move where your thumbnails appear.

When you open a created file, you may want to see ONLY the workspace.

If you close your tools accidentally, you can reopen them by 1,
>Tools
>Mimo Studio Tools
OR
>Clicking the Tools icon in the status bar at the bottom of Notebook
OR
>Right clicking on the Mimio Studio icon in the system tray
>Choose tools
MIMIO TOOLS (Basics)
- You can use the Mimio tools over ANY other application (Word, PDF’s, Websites, etc…)
- Use screen capture (bottom right button on toolbar) to use tools over websites.
- Don’t forget the sizer.
- Change colors of the pen, shapes or lines.
- If you want to capture a part of the website you can do that with the capture tool. (4th tool button, down, on the right)
- Select
- Zoom
- Pen
- Text box
- Highlighter
- Shapes
- Eraser (Shapes, text boxes and lines have to be deleted, not erased.)
- Insert File / Screen capture
- Outlines
- Transparency
